Pt. # 2 Of My Spring Break Trip!! Indoor Maze, Hanging Out, and Snow!

Hello All!

It’s time for the second and most exciting part of my trip!! Please enjoy all the pictures! πŸ˜‰πŸ’– My phone is now almost out of storage space because of them! πŸ˜›πŸ˜

If you are reading this in your reader, just don’t please! Save yourself the torture! The pics will load so slowly!

And for those of you who weren’t following my blog in early January, you may not know, but the same family visited us for about 2 days! The post about that visit can be found HERE!!

If you didn’t see pt. # 1, check it out HERE!!

On Monday, we all woke up at about 6 am and my friend, whom we will call Alice, had to leave at 7am for work that day so I mostly hung out with my sisters, my friend’s teenage brother, and our younger siblings!! Before breakfast, we played card games! After breakfast, we did some swing dancing! Both of our families are pretty good at it!!

The moon at 6am! My sister took this picture!
All of us playing card games in our PJ’s!! 😝

My sister and my friend’s teen brother dancing!

The tornado!! 😎

Fun to watch!

After, we got in an hour or so of swing dance, we headed downstairs to the basement! Our friends built an indoor maze in their house! They had extra wall space so they decided to make it into a play place for their kids! They cut into their walls and their teen son’s bedroom floor! It has two entrances, two trap doors, a room filled with cut up pool noodles and a room with weird lighting! It also has 3 different levels! Their teenage son designed the whole thing on Minecraft by himself and then built it with his dad!! You guys, I wanted to transport you all there!! We all stayed in there for about 6 hours! Hey, it was spring break and we didn’t have anything better to do!πŸ˜› We played Truth Or Dare, Purple Cow, and just chatted and laughed!

Cue The Pics!

The most commonly used entrance!!
When you come in and turn the corner!! You can climb up through a hole or go straight through the carpet flap! 😎
They have red lighting in all the tunnels, they call it, ‘The Mines Of Moria’! From LOTR!
One of the ways into the ‘ball pit room’ as they called it! It’s the pool noodle room!
The ‘ball pit’! So cool guys!!
This photo turned out blurry, but then I actually liked the effect!!
It was so awesome you guys!! The ceiling in this room is actually the ramp in the second entrance on the other side!!
The view from standing in the ‘ball pit’! To the right is a hole you can climb up through to the top level, to the left is another curve!
The room with weird lighting! One of the trapdoors drops you in here!
Taken on the 2nd level! The 3rd level is below! You can go down into it or straight across through the curtain flap!
I love this pic because it shows all three levels! I’m on the 1st floor! The 2nd is below! And the 3rd is that hole you see!
The second entrance/exit! It’s a ramp which is harder to climb up, but so much fun to slide down if you’re leaving! This is what it looks like at the bottom!
Here is the slide from the top!

At about 7pm, Alice got home from work and other friends of ours who live nearby, came over to visit with us! We all ate delicious leftover Easter dinner! After that, we all hung around in the living room and relaxed. The dads made a whole bunch of funny jokes and made us all laugh a ton! It reminded me of times gone by when we used to live close to each other! Then, Alice and I went on a car drive alone! We had some pretty deep conversation which was great!! When we got back home, we went to bed almost right away because it was 11pm and we had a long day!!

This morning, we got up pretty early and hung out for a couple hours in the maze! Alice didn’t have work so she joined us in there! We mostly chatted and buried each other under the pool noodles! After that, Alice and I, went to the Humane Society to pet animals!

They were burying me!! 😝

Completely buried! It was so comfy! I almost fell asleep! 😴

Attention : I did not take these pictures! It would have been very distracting to the volunteers and would have been awkward to do while talking with my friend! So, you’ve gotta love the internet here because I was able to find some online! This is exactly how it looked when I went! These are pictures of the exact center we went to!

It was very pretty and clean looking inside!

The cats were so cute, but they made me miss my cats at home! 😭 One of them liked me according to my friend! 😝😏

The puppies! 😍

Then we went to a general store that reminded me of like an antique shop! It mostly had gorgeous housewares, pretty stationary/journals, home decor, and candy or fudge. It was really fun!! Alice and I got to chat a lot!! After that, we went back to her house so that I could say goodbye to a few friends of ours that live nearby. It was rather emotional as they are adults that have known me my whole childhood and were kinda like second parents to me. 😒 Then we went back out again to Kroger so Alice could look at Easter decor that was now cheap! 😝 She ended up just buying herself a chocolate bunny because her mom didn’t buy her one this year! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚#teenagerproblems 😎

(Once again, this is not my picture, but taken from online!! It is the same general store though! πŸ˜‰ It would have been very distracting in there and there were a few older ladies that were talking in there and I didn’t want to whip out my phone and start snapping away! πŸ˜‚ Anywhoo, it looked a little more winter like when I was there. πŸ˜‰)

Then at about 4:00pm, it came time to say goodbye which was really hard as we live so far away and spent less than three days with them. I wish I had pictures, but I was crying too hard and that would have seriously ruined the moment. So, I’ll try to explain it as best I can!

It was raining out so all of us kids were standing out in the driveway while our parents were inside making sure we hadn’t left anything. My sisters were sobbing and I was getting to that point…Alice’s teenage brother got an umbrella to hold up for all of us girls while we cried. He was making jokes and trying to make us laugh so we’d stop crying.(haha, good luck pal! πŸ˜‚πŸ˜) One of the things he said was,”I just know that our moms are taking pictures of us through the window and so now for the rest of time, there is gonna be something people can show me and say,”ohhh, you were comforting the crying girls under the umbrella!” He did make us laugh some! They were kinda like little sob laughs, but wow, I’m ranting here! πŸ˜―πŸ™ˆ

Then my friend, Alice, started talking about how special we are and how much they are gonna miss us! That kinda made us start crying again. Then our parents came out so we all started to make our final goodbyes. Alice and I hugged and cried for awhile…😌 Then when are moms were saying all the things we love about each other as families, Alice took my little brother’s toy I was holding and wrote on it. Then she handed it back to me! This I took a picture of because it was very sweet and me me smile through my tears! πŸ˜‰

The rain! Not my tears!! πŸ™ˆπŸ˜

Finally, we all climbed in the car and pulled away! They chased the car down the road in the rain until we were going to fast!

I want to say that something that really helped me at this moment was talking to a blogging friend! Thank you to that person! You calmed me down and helped me to stop crying! β€πŸ˜‰

We drove for about 4 hours and then stayed in a hotel in Ohio!

We woke up in the hotel to snow flurries! Yay! πŸŽ‰πŸ˜

Finally, we got home late at night and headed to bed! 😴 We really needed it!

If you read all the way to the bottom, let me know in the comments! You are truly awesome!! πŸ˜ŽπŸŽ‰

Thank you for coming on the trip with me y’all! I hope you enjoyed being part of it!!
